Typically, churches consider their Sunday gathering to be their primary organizing structure. But since the church is a people on mission for the glory of God – and not simply a building or gathering – we find missional communities to be a better organizing structure and central to everything we do.
WHAT IS A MISSIONAL COMMUNITY?
A missional comminity is God’s family sent on His mission to make disciples by loving God, loving one another, and loving our neighbors. We are sent to a particular group of people and to those in our everyday life.
A family of missionary servants sent to make disciples who make disciples
Jesus has not saved us to be the church away from the world, but in the world. He has called us to join Him in making disciples in the everyday life. We pursue Jesus and His mission by loving God, loving one another, and loving our neighbors. These three equal and codependent missional community pursuits are at the core of being God’s family on His mission making disciples.
